GRHS FAFSA night coming on April 28

The Gila Ridge High School counseling office will host a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Night on Thursday, April 28 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Gila Ridge Library.

The event is an opportunity for families to learn about the post-secondary financial aid process and get their FAFSA forms completed.

“All seniors and their families should join us to gain critical insight into the financial aid process for post-secondary programs,” GRHS Assistant Principal Lili Campa said.

Information will be provided on the following topics:

  • The financial aid process in general
  • Accessing and completing the FAFSA
  • Applying for grants and scholarships

Families who plan on attending to fill out the FAFSA should bring their 2021- and 2022-income information, social security card, driver’s license, and alien registration card (if applicable). Parents or guardians must be in attendance. It is also recommended that students bring their netbook.

“A FAFSA should be completed by all seniors,” Campa added. “In addition to learning if you can qualify for financial aid, it is usually a requirement by many post-secondary institutions to qualify for grants and scholarships.”

For questions about the event, families should contact the GRHS guidance office at (928) 502-6426.
