Gila Ridge drama to perform 'Dearly Departed'

Gila Ridge High School drama classes are hosting a performance of “Dearly Departed” Nov. 7-8 in the Performing Arts Auditorium.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Showtime is 7 p.m.

“Dearly Departed,” is a southern comedy by David Bottrell and Jessie Jones. In the Baptist backwoods of the Bible belt, the beleaguered Turpin family proves that living and dying in the South is seldom tidy and always hilarious.

Drama teacher Chip Straly will direct the show, while the Assistant Director is student Lauren Bledsoe. Other students behind the curtains include Admarys Caba as choreographer, Stage Manager Alexandria Ponce, and Assistant Stage Manager Maiah Meza.

Admission for the play is $10 general admission, $5 for GRHS students (free with student ID) and family of cast and crew, military and veterans, and school officials and staff.
