Gila Ridge Student Council members volunteer at Fuddle’s Fun Run

Gila Ridge High School Student Council members volunteered at the fifth annual Fuddle’s Fun Run on Saturday, Sept. 29.

K.I.D.S CuddleKit Closet hosted the event with more than 450 participants ages 13 and under able to run one mile around Ray Smucker Park.

“We had so much fun serving our community,” said GRHS Student Council Advisor Kayla Semler. “We enjoyed it so much that we are planning on doing something similar here at Gila Ridge to help local charities.”

Volunteers splashed kids with water sprinklers, threw colorful chalk and covered the young runners with bubbles. Each year the run serves a way to raise money to complete the needs of the program and purchase needed supplies.

K.I.D.S. CuddleKit Closet is a nonprofit program that reaches out to kids and families that are staying in local hospitals.
