Natural gas project near GRHS may cause traffic delays

A natural gas project near La Mesa Park along East 24th Street may cause intermittent traffic delays for commuters to-and-from Gila Ridge High School.

The project, which started on Monday, July 18, is slated to run through December 2022.

An additional project between East 24th Street and Avenue 7 1/2 E is expected to conclude sometime in August.

Families traveling to Gila Ridge during business hours should plan for possible heavy traffic, reduced speed limits, and delays. Sidewalk access is expected to remain open, according to Southwest Gas.

For additional information, contact the Southwest Gas project hotline at (844) 258-7481.
