Destruction of Records Notice

Yuma Union High School District would like to inform all parents of students and former students who have been in special education programs of the destruction of records from August 22, 2014-July 30, 2016. Destruction of records will take place four weeks after notice date.

The maintenance of records is only required for four years after which all special education data and information regarding students who have withdrawn, transferred, or graduated from the district will be destroyed. Included in this process are the records that are more than four years old of students no longer attending special education programs. Parents and/or students who have reached the age of 18 have the right to review the records and obtain copies of information needed.
