YUHSD, District One introduce Online Registration
Yuma Union High School District and Yuma Elementary School District One have partnered to introduce online registration for families in both districts. The measure was something planned for the 2020-2021 school year, and became a priority as a way of reducing the number of families needing to access campuses during the COVID-19 health crisis.
"Yuma Elementary School District One is proud to partner with Yuma Union High School District to provide this new online registration option for families,” District One Superintendent Jamie Sheldahl said. “By offering a secure, contact-free method, parents can now register their children at a time that works best for them. This is especially useful for our military community who are joining District One from out of town. This new registration option is one example of the many ways District One and YUHSD provide personalized, innovative services to our community."
YUHSD Associate Superintendent Lisa Anderson said, “Online registration may be used in place of paper registration forms. Parents will find this to be an easy process that they can complete at their convenience from home, work, or anywhere they have internet access. While most of the registration information may be completed online, parents and legal guardians will still be required to provide official supporting documents such as a birth certificate.
“Synergy's ParentVUE is a secure, web-based communication tool that is password protected and provides parents and guardians the ability to register or re-enroll students, view grades, assignments, and contact information. The program is straightforward and quite user-friendly---just point and click,” Anderson added.
ParentVUE, the shared student information system, can be accessed online or via either district’s mobile app. Parents who are unable to access ParentVUE or forgot their password are encouraged to click on the “Forgot ParentVUE Paswoord” button located near the bottom of each district’s registration page.
