YUHSD to host virtual info session regarding academics and more

Yuma Union High School District will host a virtual information session for families to answer questions regarding academics and end-of-year procedures.

The event will take place on Facebook Live from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, and will allow families to ask questions “live” in the comments section or by submitting a form in advance. YUHSD’s teaching and learning team as well as select principals and Superintendent Gina Thompson will be a part of the panel.

Families may follow the information session at www.facebook.com/YUHSD70, beginning at 6 p.m.

“We know these are uncertain times, and along with that comes a lot of questions,” Thompson said. “While there has been a lot of information shared with families through our website and messaged directly, we wanted to make sure we are doing all that we can to provide families with answers. This forum is just another way of doing that.”

Note: Questions will only be answered that pertain to the topics of academics and end-of-year procedures.

The May 6 event is the second virtual information session that YUHSD has taken part. On April 23, the district collaborated with local colleges to discuss higher education options. The session exceeded 3,500 viewers, including those who watched the recorded video after the live event.
