YUHSD libraries to put on ‘Design A Bookmark’ contest

Yuma Union High School District librarians are looking for students to show off their creativity as part of the district’s “Design A Bookmark” contest.

The contest, which is hosted by librarians at all five comprehensive school, will be open to submissions on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019 with an entry deadline of Jan. 31, 2020. Entry forms, including templates, will be available at each school’s library and when completed should be submitted to the librarian.

“We are doing this fun activity as a way to support student creativity and expression,” Cibola High School Librarian Amanda Coltman said.

Winners from grade 9-12 will be selected at each school will get their bookmarks printed and dispersed at their individual campuses.

YUHSD Librarians include: Amanda Coltman at Cibola High School, Peggy Evans at Gila Ridge High School, RJ Kiekevold at Kofa High School, Lourdes Aranda at San Luis High School, and Cait Zaksheske at Yuma High School.
