Cibola Theatre presents “Junie B. Jones the Musical”

Junie B Jones posterAfter almost two years without live theatre, the Cibola High School Theatre Department presents their fall production: Junie B. Jones the Musical!”

Show times are Tuesday, Oct. 5 and Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021 at 7 p.m. in the Cibola Auditorium. Tickets are $10.

“This will be the first time my program has been able to perform live since our Fall Production in 2019, due to COVID-19,” CHS Theatre Director Michael Massone said. “Back in March of 2020 our musical ‘Grease’ was cancelled on opening night which was disheartening. But my students and I have continued to work, participate in all the theatre we can, including a virtual play last spring, which has helped us prepare for performing live again. What is interesting about this group is, this will be the first time some of these students have performed live ever due to the fact that we haven't been able to produce live theatre.”

“My cast, crew and I are extremely excited to be able to perform live for an audience once again,” Massone said. “We have been working tirelessly for almost four weeks to produce ‘Junie B. Jones the Musical!’”

Next week’s lively performance brings to life four of Barbara Parks' classic books. The audience will be able to see characters many know and love like Junie B., Bossy Head May, and Lucille (Junie B's Kindergarten BFF).

Tickets can be purchased from any cast member; by texting (480) 359-4616; or through Venmo@RaiderDramaTickets.
