Cibola Ag Science students compete at Spring State Convention

Yuma, AZ - This past week the Cibola Agricultural Science/FFA competed at the Spring State Competition at the University of Arizona.  The results were:

2nd Place Overall Poultry Team

1st Place Individual - Kailey Faulkner

3rd Place Individual - Tyler Martinez

High Individual for Testing

AG Business - Harvey Parkerson

Poultry -Tyler Martinez

Vet Science - Gabrielle Evans

4th Place Ag Business

6th Place Individual - Adam Raney

"After all the hard work from CDE practices, 2 Districts, and 3 days of State,  Cibola FFA have some big things to celebrate," says Sarah McNall, Cibola Agricultural Science teacher.  

All the FFA chapters throughout Arizona competed in a variety of competitions ranging from Poultry Evaluation and Agriculture Mechanics to Job Interview and Forestry. Students were able to gain experience in their areas of interest and apply classroom content through hands on application.

The students who competed at State have been studying for months while competing against local chapters before moving onto the state level.
