Yuma Union High School District will host a sports physical event for new and returning student-athletes on April 26, 2022 at Rillos Gym on the Kofa High School campus. 

The event is at no-cost and is open to all YUHSD student-athletes. Doors open at 4 p.m. with exams being given from 4:30-7:30 p.m. by Yuma Regional Medical Center Sports Medicine Program Director Dr. Ryan Zerr and YRMC medical residents. Parents/guardians must be in attendance. 

"The sports physicals administered on April 26 cover summer, fall, and spring sports activities,” YUHSD Athletic Trainer Johannah Elliott said. “The FREE physicals are for all new, transferring, and current YUHSD athletes and this is the premier event for sports physicals at YUHSD moving forward. YUHSD athletic department employees are extremely grateful for our partnership with YRMC, Dr. Zerr, and Family & Community Medicine residents."

A physical is required to participate in Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) competition. All physical examinations completed at the event will cover the student for the 2022-23 school year.
