Positive Behavior Support workshop for parents coming Feb. 27

A Positive Behavior Support workshop for parents of students with special needs is coming to Yuma High School on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The workshop will focus on understanding the role parents play in their child’s behavior and how they can reduce unwanted behavior and increase preferred behavior by using Positive Behavior Supports at home and in the community. There were also be information about how to work in tandem with the school when behaviors get in the way of learning.

The workshop will be conducted by Raising Special Kids in partnership with Yuma Union High School District and is open to all families at no cost. Advance registration is required via
