YUHSD migrant program holding second parent meeting of school year

Yuma Union High School District’s Migrant Education Program will host its second migrant parent impact meeting of the school year on Thursday, Nov. 7 at Kofa High School.

The meeting begins at 5 p.m. and is expected to conclude around 6:30 p.m. It is open to families across Yuma County and will focus on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and details about how parents and guardians can check their student's grades and attendance in the ParentVUE system.

The previous meeting, held in early September, drew more than 200 YUHSD families. The migrant program is expected to hold three more parent meetings during the 2019-20 school year with a variety of content and learning opportunities for families.
