Ms. Quezada and the Cooperative Education students at Yuma High School planned a CTE Awards night on May 12, 2021, at 6:00 pm. The event recognized students from Agriculture, Automotive Technologies, Business, Cooperative Education, Culinary, Law and Public Safety, Sports Medicine, and Welding for their academic and extracurricular achievements. Students who participated in SkillsUSA and FBLA state competitions were also recognized for Gold, Silver, and 5th place. Some of the awards included; CTE Teacher of the Year, program concentrators, and students who passed the Technical Skills Assessment for their program. Ms. Quezada says, " ‘A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.’ This year has been challenging but we wanted to acknowledge the accomplishments of our CTE students so this awards ceremony was just for them.
