SLHS open house to showcase CTE renovations

San Luis High School will hold an open house and dedication ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 4 p.m. in its newly constructed early childhood center on campus to showcase renovations multiple Career & Technical Education facilities on campus.

The event will begin with a brief program to discuss opportunities the upgraded facilities will afford students and will be followed guided tours of the campus.

"We are extremely excited about the renovation and update of our Career and Technical Education programs,” SLHS Principal Lucky Arvizo said. “Our goal is to give our students the latest equipment and materials to develop their knowledge and skills. CTE programs enhance our students' opportunities for success in college, career, and community."

The renovations were made possible by Yuma Union High School District’s partnership with the Southwest Technical Education District of Yuma (STEDY), and include new labs and/or equipment for early childhood, agriculture, engineering, and digital photography programs.
