Yuma High hosting CTE night

Yuma High School is hosting a Career & Technical Education Night on campus Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 from 5-8 p.m.

The event is geared towards building community awareness about that CTE programs are offered at Yuma High and what kind of skills are developed in those programs. Students, parents and community members are welcome.

“Guests will be able to find out more about what each program offers and how those classes provide skills that will help students advance in their career pathway,” YHS business teacher Patricia Quezada said. “Students will also be able to participate in activities that will focus on personal and workplace skills.”

CTE ambassadors and leaders will be present sharing their stories about how CTE impacted them on a personal and academic level.

"The community will not only see what happens in the classrooms, but what happens in the students,” YHS CTE leaders Cassandra Chavez said. “CTE is a program that encourages its learners to participate and actively engage, therefore creating an open atmosphere of diverse ideas and teamwork. We want to proudly demonstrate just that on CTE Night."
