Criminal Choirs to perform selection of Harvest Season

Yuma High School Criminal Choirs will be performing their annual fall concert on Oct. 24, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Yuma High’s historic Snider Auditorium.

The choir is under the direction of Laura Surguine, who teaches drama, theatre tech and music at YHS. This will be the fifth consecutive year of the Criminal Choir performing for the public under Surguine’s direction.

The Criminal Choir will perform a selection of Harvest Season repertoire including selections from the annual Dia de los Muertos Parade. This will also include handmade puppets created by YHS Theatre Tech class.

Jakob Casarez, a YHS student said, “The production and working with Ms. Surguine is educational, inspiring and motivates us to come out of our shells.”

The entry fee is “pay what you can” and supports the YHS Criminal Choir and future productions. Bring the family and get into the spirit of the Harvest Season with Yuma High School Criminal Choir.
