Vista Performing Arts Club spreads holiday cheer

VHS students pose with santa Vista High School’s Performing Arts Club spread holiday cheer at the Life Care enter of Yuma on Dec. 11, 2019.

The group prepared a candy cane reindeer and delivered holiday cards to residents.

"It was a positive experience for both us, and the residents, because it provided so much joy,” VHS student Ebenie Marquez said.

The Performing Arts Club started on the campus in the 2018-19 school year and is overseen by Brenda Wright, who teaches drama.

"The club is about the opportunity for an adult to care about and a place you can go to be who you are and discover who you are and who you could be," Wright said.
