Vista to host third annual Lobo Community Connections Night

Vista High School will be holding its third annual Lobo Community Connections Night on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019 from 4-6 p.m.

“This is an Open House that reaches beyond our school to connect students and families with community services and resources to help plan for College and Career,” VHS Principal Brett Surguine said.

Students, parents and families have an opportunity to meet teachers, college personnel, and industry professionals at the event.

Representatives from Arizona Western College and the University of Arizona will be on hand to talk about admissions, dual credit enrollment, Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the KEY Program, financial aid and career planning.

Industry professionals planning to attend the event, include military service branches, Yuma Fire Department, Border Patrol, as well as those from construction, banking, and real estate.

Additionally, those in attendance can expect to take part in fun, hands-on activities led by Career & Technical Education programs, teachers and student council, enjoy free light snacks, and hear about community resources such as Arizona @ Work, Arizona Children’s Association, Sunset Community Health, Arizona Complete Health, Yuma Family YMCA, and others.
