SLHS CTE Law and Public Safety Students

Crime Scene Management Training

SLHS CTE Law and Public Safety Students had the opportunity to take a crime scene management training course on our campus early this week.

The training consisted of showing students how to protect a crime scene, preserving evidence, collecting items from the scene and submitting the evidence for scientific examination. Crime scene management is following and understanding set protocols, protection and safety, and preservation measures to ensure scene integrity.

We had a total of 26 students in person taking the course/training and the rest were on distance learning. This course was offered to all level 2 Law and Public Safety classes. All the students that participated in the training are going to be receiving a certificate from the International Foundation For Protection Officers for Crime Scene Management.
