More than 200 SLHS families sign up for ASU’s American Dream Academy

For the second consecutive time this school year, San Luis High School’s involvement with the Arizona State University’s American Dream Academy was a huge success.

On Tuesday, Mar. 19, 2019, SLHS hosted an informational evening for students and families to learn more about the benefits of being involved with the American Dream Academy program. The 8-week program provides families the tools and confidence to join forces with schools to make sure their children have successful academic careers and prepare for a university experience.

Students who complete the program by attending all of the weekly meetings will earn a $500 one-time scholarship to Arizona Western College and/or up to $4,000 to ASU. After the informational sessions, 212 SLHS families signed up to take part.
