ASU Dream Academy a success at San Luis High School

Arizona State University’s American Dream Academy graduated 209 San Luis High School students and parents on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018.

SLHS students and their parents completed the eight-week course, which culminated with the graduation.  According to Christian Rosario, assistant director of the American Dream Academy, this is the largest class ASU has graduated this semester.

The American Dream Academy is a program designed to provide families with the tools needed to empower students, parents and teachers to transform expectations and learning methods, so that academic potential is maximized. Graduation from the program requires 100 percent involvement of both parents and students.

At the graduation student speaker Anthony Lara said, “We are very grateful for the opportunity you gave us to learn, step-by-step, about our college education, to achieve our goals and about all the benefits that the program offers to all students.”

All graduates were awarded a $4,000 scholarship toward their future college enrollment.
