SLHS updates dress code requirements

San Luis High School recently announced additions to its current dress code policy.

The updated policy now permits students to wear school-approved spirit shirts, which promote SLHS clubs and athletic programs, any day of the week and bottom options that include gray and Sidewinder green. Additionally, outerwear can now include white hoodies and sweatshirts.

The student dress code still includes collared shirts in solid green, black or gray with appropriately fitting bottoms of solid black or khaki. Outerwear hoodies and sweatshirts may also be black, gray or green with approved tops underneath.

“Fang Fridays” will still permit students to wear non-ripped jeans on Fridays only.

SLHS Principal Tammy Ray said, “I’d like to recognize the SLHS Student Council for working so hard to advocate for the recent dress code additions.”

Wednesday, Oct. 17 was the first day the new dress code was in place.
