Kofa student accepted to UA Business Career Awareness summer program

Kofa High School Marisol Rios was accepted into the Business Career Awareness Summer Program at the University of Arizona. The program takes place from June 2-7, 2019.

"Being accepted into the program has been a hope of growth for my career,” Rios said. “It will allow me to put into practice what I have learned from my Business Management Program and give me the opportunity to network with other students that have the same career path and learn more in depth about Business and Accounting."

Rios takes business management at Kofa with instructor Alba Mazariegos. Marisol Rios

Participants will leave BCAP a successful candidate for the accounting industry.

Events for the weeklong program include: Introductory accounting, finance, and ethics classes; a case study competition; networking opportunities; book scholarships; site visits to the EY office in Phoenix; UA campus tour; formal dinner etiquette training; and a closing banquet and celebration.
