Kofa High School holds orientation session for American Dream Academy

Kofa High School collaborated with American Dream Academy on Wednesday, Oct. 17 to launch an orientation session for parents.

More than 160 parents and students attended the session, which was presented in both English and Spanish. Kofa Principal Mike Sharp addressed the audience. The program is designed to help parents understand their children’s journey in high school. It starts Wednesday, Oct. 24, and any parent who is still interested should contact the school for more information.

The American Dream Academy is an 8-week program designed to help families gain tools and experience to help schools and communities ensure that their students have successful academic careers in both high school and college, according to the American Dream Academy website. In 2016 American Dream Academy graduated more than 33,000 parents and students from the program.
