Kofa High School dance presents ‘Touring the World’

The Kofa dance department will put on their springKHS dance rehearsal. dance show “Touring the World” on Thursday, May 4 and Friday, May 5, 2023 in the Kofa Auditorium.

“Touring the World” is a dance production featuring dances and music inspired by different parts of the world such as: Hawaii, Asia, Africa, etc. Dancers of different levels will share the stage and there will be group performances as well as solo performances. 

“I would like everybody to hopefully enjoy this show,” Kofa senior dancer Desiraee said. “We’ve been working hard for the past two months to make this show come together.”

The Friday show is “senior night” and there will be a slideshow honoring the seniors for their last high school dance performance. 

“For some dancers, this will be the first time they perform on this stage, and others have been here for all four years and they have all been working extremely hard for this show,” Kofa Dance Director Ashley Atherton said.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Showtime is 7 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $5, tickets are $7 at the door, and VIP seating is $10 which includes a seat in the first four rows of the auditorium. 

Pre-sale tickets can be purchased at the Kofa auditorium lobby on the following times:

Monday, May 1 - 5:00-6:00

Tuesday, May 2 - 5:00-7:00

Wednesday, May 3 - 5:00-7:00

The Kofa dance department typically has a dance show in the fall and spring semester. Funds from their shows go towards supporting the dance department and allows them to purchase costumes, decorations, and everything needed to put on a show.
