Kofa High School drama presents ‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’
The Kofa drama department will put on their spring musical production “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” on Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31, 2023 in the Kofa Auditorium.
“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” is a musical comedy directed by Kofa High School Theater and Drama Teacher Anjielyn Chang. The show focuses on an eclectic group of tweens as they vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime.
“I am super excited for people to see this production,” Chang said. “For people who have never seen ‘Putnam,’ they will love this hilarious ride and it will be unlike any show or theater piece they have seen before; and for those who are familiar with the show, will know not to miss this theater patron favorite.”
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Showtime is 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door.
“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” is the last Kofa drama department show of the school year and the last high school drama show for seniors in the department.
“I’ve been in drama for all four years of high school so this being my final performance for the program is really heartwarming,” KHS senior Mack Schwitzing said. “I’m really happy that this is my final performance and that I get to leave Kofa on such a high note.”
