Career & Technical Education

Welcome to the Yuma Union High School District's Career and Technical Education Department!

Yuma Union High School District offers a wide variety of state-approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs designed to prepare students for success in college, careers, and beyond. Each program provides a rigorous sequence of courses aligned with Arizona CTE standards, combining industry-relevant curriculum with hands-on learning experiences using state-of-the-art equipment.

Through CTE, students develop the technical, academic, and employability skills needed to succeed in today's workforce while exploring career pathways that match their interests. Upon graduation, students are well prepared to continue their education, earn industry credentials, or enter the workforce with confidence.

Many CTE programs also provide opportunities for students to earn college credit through dual enrollment, giving them a head start on their postsecondary education while still in high school.

Students enrolled in CTE programs are encouraged to participate in Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), which are an integral part of the CTE experience. Organizations such as **FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, HOSA, ** JROTC and SkillsUSA provide valuable opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and technical skills. Through these organizations, students can also compete at the local, regional, state, and national levels while showcasing the knowledge and skills they have gained in their programs.

We invite you to explore the many opportunities available through Yuma Union High School District CTE, where students discover their passions, develop career-ready skills, and prepare for a successful future.
