Facilities

The YUHSD Facilities Department is dedicated to ensuring a safe and clean environment for students and staff throughout our district. Our department staff is committed to daily disinfecting and cleaning of our campuses and facilities; conducting preventive maintenance of our buildings and HVAC systems; maintaining playing fields and campus grounds; and conducting annual safety inspections such as fire alarm systems, fire sprinklers systems, fire extinguishers, elevators, and kitchen hoods. We also work with vendors on construction projects such as bond and Career & Technical Education projects throughout the district.

What We Do

• Clean classrooms and offices
• Maintain operation of buildings by fixing issues such as lighting or HVAC
• Maintain our buildings by doing preventative maintenance
• Maintain our grounds by having daily routines of mowing and touching up our fields
• Disinfect our campuses with enhanced cleaning methods
• Hold weekly safety meetings to ensure we are up to date with regulations and guidelines
• Respond to work requests in a timely manner
• Ensure that our facilities are always up to date with annual inspections
• Provide a safe and clean work environment for ours staff and students
