Yuma Union High School District has been awarded a $30,000 grant from the No Kid Hungry Foundation to enhance student access to breakfast and boost participation in its no-cost meal programs.
The governing board re-elected Jacqueline Kravitz as president and newly elected Christy Cradic as Vice President on January 8, 2025.
YUHSD was one of six school districts in the United States selected to take part in the sixth cohort of the “Get Schools Cooking” program.
Somerton High School will host the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) Unified District Jamboree on January 10, 2025.
The Kofa High School engineering program partnered with the Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) to pilot their new engineering science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) Kits. This collaboration introduces students to hands-on engineering projects while fostering creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.
Yuma Union High School District will be closed for Christmas and winter break. District and school offices are closing from the end of business on Friday, Dec. 20, 2024 through Jan. 6, 2025. Students will return for all six YUHSD schools on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025.
The YUHSD Governing Board on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, by way of a 4-0 vote, approved district calendars for the next two school years.
