Raising Special Kids Training Sessions

  • Yuma Union High School District, in partnership with Raising Special Kids, is committed to meeting the needs of all children. Each month, a school within the district will be hosting an evening presentation to learn more about the special education process.  We look forward to providing this opportunity to our youth and their families.

    This workshop explains the IEP transition planning process which should begin for students no later than 16 years of age. Discover how to identify classes, activities, and services that help prepare students with disabilities for higher education, vocational training, employment, and additional resources that help with planning for adult life.

    The Vision: The Yuma Union High School District offers a full continuum of services for students in grades 9-12, living in the district, who qualify for special education. We provide special education services based on the needs of each individual student.
